i'm going to answer both of your comments in one go..

every thought comes from somewhere, to believe you have not been influenced by the many-tentacled mind-programming reach of the illuminati/ nwo through its myriad of channels is hubris.

yes, confirmation bias - but i came to the bible with a tabula rasa.

define what 'a good life' is - and are you sure you're not even unintentionally doing harm to others? is your work completely wholesome or does it involve someone getting screwed somewhere? can of worms, that one..

yes, people have done terrible damage and committed great crimes against humanity in the name of YHVH of the bible, and everyone will see their punishment on judgement day.

do you think the money-changers felt Jesus' love when He made a whip of cords and chased them out of the temple, or the pharisees when He called them hypocrites to their faces and told parables of their fate? NOT that i'm in any way putting you in that category or anything - the point i want to make is the rulers/ roman church/ evil people opposed to God have given the mainstream this fake impression of Jesus being some kind of peace and love hippie socialist, and i admit that was my impression 5 years ago.

the actual words of the bible read 'Think not that i came to bring peace to the earth, no, but a sword, and division.'
and 'out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.' - not very hendrix is it?

'religion is a tool for control.

The system of belief that will work for everyone is one that accepts all belief systems.

That's called society.'

agree 100% with the first line - believers are supposed to be together in smallish groups known as 'ekklesia' - and simple, humble, hardworking you know, Godly, not the pomp and self-serving passed off as worshipping God that goes on in most churches today.

btw, those churches hate everything i say about the bible too , because it's all true: Jesus is not God, He's the human son of God (1 timothy 2:5) there is no trinity that's pagan as you well know - man is his own devil though there are angels though they cannot rebel or fall to earth and mate with women etc.; hell is made up - both the hebrew and greek translate as 'grave' and are translated such in various places, but the king james and the latin vulgate from which it ultimately stems is reinforcing all of these roman babylonian ideas; no one is going to live in heaven, God is going to live on earth with those who trusted Him and accepted they were so fallen and needed His redemption plan through Jesus the son of a woman and Almighty God.

that would be enough to get me thrown out of pretty much every church on earth, even though every thing i say is backed up with numerous scriptures. 'religious' people don't actually read the bible, they wait for their pastor to tell them what to believe about the bible, the same way zombies who watch the 6 o'clock news wait for the hypnotist-agent to tell them what to think about world and national events. it's custom, tradition, slavishly doing what the family and neighbours/ friends do, one should possibly call them all cults. Jesus was most certainly an individual.

'The system of belief that will work for everyone is one that accepts all belief systems.'

this is the crux of it. you have described post-modernism, or subjectivism, or the idea that there is no absolute truth as the philosophers thought, but everything that's true for you is true, even if it's false for someone else.
this philosophy is designed to wreck everyone's minds. now let me make the distinction between disliking or wanting to murder others because they don't share your 'truth' and there being actual truths whether you are there to observe or experience them. yes, the tree makes a damn sound in the forest. squirrels and snakes still hear it even if there are no humans around. is the sky blue nearly all the time aside from stunning orange and red sunrise and sets? if we are all shown a basic colour chart we'd all pick the same one. there is absolute truth.

i'd better stop before this becomes an essay. do you agree i'm right about what the bible does and does not say?
