The Christmas holidays are just around the corner, and we want to start making decorations for our homes, for the tree, accessories to show off, and countless other details we can work on. That's why today I'm starting something very simple on my blog to kick off the season: a multipurpose decorative pendant featuring a 2D Christmas tree made using the quilling technique.

Ya tenemos cerca la fiestas navideñas, queremos comenzar a realizar decoraciones para nuestro hogar, para el árbol, accesorios para lucir, infinidades de detalles que podemos trabajar, por ello comienzo hoy en mi blog a realizar algo bien sencillo para iniciar la temporada, les dejo un colgante decorativo multiuso de un árbol de navidad en 2D en la técnica de quilling.

• Cintas para quilling.
• Aguja para quilling.
• Cartulinas.
• Guillotina de cortar papel.
• Argolla de bisutería.
• Cristales de bisutería.
• Pega blanca extra fuerte (de carpintería).
• Pincel.
• Tijera.
• Colgante de tu preferencia.
• Quilling strips.
• Quilling needle.
• Cardstock.
• Paper cutter.
• Jewelry ring.
• Jewelry crystals.
• Extra-strong white glue (carpentry glue).
• Paintbrush.
• Scissors.
• Pendant of your choice.
• I started by taking a 3mm wide green quilling strip and, using the quilling needle, I rolled up the entire strip until I reached the end. I removed it from the needle, loosened it a little, and sealed it with extra-strong white glue to create an open circle. We will need two of these.
• Using the same method, I made two slightly larger open circles and two more that were even bigger than the previous ones. I made six open circles, as you can see in the picture.
• I shaped them into slightly pointed leaves, then glued them in groups of two. I joined all the groups together to form the centerpiece, which will be the Christmas tree.
• Comencé tomando cinta para quilling de color verde de 3mm de ancho, con la aguja para quilling procedí a enrollar toda la cinta hasta llegar al final de la misma, saqué de la aguja, solté un poco y sellé con pega blanca extra fuerte, para conseguir un círculo abierto, vamos a necesitar dos iguales.
• Bajo los mismos parámetros anteriores realicé dos círculos abiertos un poco más grandes, y dos más de mayor tamaño que los anteriores. Realicé 6 círculos abiertos como pueden ver en la imagen.
• Procedí a moldear en forma de hojas un poco puntiagudas, luego fue pegando en grupos de dos, para luego unir todos los grupos y formar la pieza central que será el árbol de navidad.
• To make the tree trunk, cut a piece of brown cardstock, roll it up with a needle, and seal it with glue. Glue the resulting piece under the center piece, i.e., the tree.
• With yellow tape, make a small open circle, then shape it by making small points to form a star.
• Para realizar el tronco del árbol recorte un trozo de cartulina de color marrón, enrollé con la aguja y sellé con pega, la pieza resultante la pegué debajo de la pieza central, es decir del árbol.
• Con cinta de color amarillo realicé un pequeño círculo abierto, luego moldee realizando unos pequeños picos para formar una estrella.
• I stuck the star on top of the tree.
• To protect the piece, harden it, and give it shine, apply several layers of extra-strong white glue, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next.
• To finish, place a jewelry ring on top and decorate with different jewelry crystals.
You can attach the pendant of your choice, or if you want to use it to decorate the Christmas tree, you can attach a piece of clear nylon or thread in the color of your choice.
This completes this 2D Christmas tree in the form of a decorative pendant, using the quilling technique.
• La estrella la pegué en la parte de arriba del árbol.
• Para proteger la pieza, endurecerla y darle brillo, aplique varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte dejando secar entre una capa y otra.
• Para finalizar coloque en la parte de arriba una argolla de bisutería, y decore con diferentes cristales de bisutería.
Podemos colocar el colgante de nuestra preferencia, o si queremos usarlo para decorar el árbol de navidad, podemos colocarle un trozo de naylon transparente o hilo del color que deseen.
De esta manera finalice este árbol de navidad en 2D en forma de colgante decorativo, en la técnica de quilling.
