When you choose the right settings on your camera and you do good work with light sources during the exposure, the result is fine. Work always pay ;)
I do daylight photography too and I never do post-processing. The way I see it, it's no longer photography when you spend more time behind your computer's screen than behind the camera, it's more graphic design.
