Hi hivians, let me drop a bit of my experiences in one of these my busy days.
I have a lot do drop here but then let me start slowly from somewhere.

On Wednesday I was standing in a place where almost everybody was doing the wrong thing.

People were shouting, pushing, lying, trying to cheat others to get ahead. And for a moment, I felt foolish for standing alone and doing the right thing.

Then a voice inside me said, stand with your values, not with the crowd.
The crowd is loud, but your values are your life.

LET ME TELL YOU THE TRUTH ABOUT THE CROWD

The crowd is not always right, especially in my region.

Remember that the crowd laughed at Noah when he was building the ark, until the rain started.

The crowd will clap for you when you are spending money you stole, but they will not be there when police comes to carry you.

The crowd will tell you that everybody is doing it,
everybody is cheating,
everybody is lying,
everybody is taking bribe,
everybody is spoiling the land with chemicals.

But everybody is not going to live your life. You will live your own life.

WHY I CHOSE TO STAND WITH MY Values

In my pepper farming, people told me, Oga, put plenty chemical so your pepper will be big and you will make quick money.
The crowd of farmers are doing it.

But my value is to grow food that I can give to my own children to eat.
So I stood alone.
I use organic methods.
My harvest may be smaller, but my conscience is clean.
And today, my customers trust me because of that value.

In friendship, people told me to forget that my old friend, he has nothing to give you now.

But my value is that I never forget those who helped me when I was a stranger.

Reasons Why Standing With Your Values Pays.

  1. The Crowd Disappears, Your Values Remain:
When trouble comes, the crowd will run away and leave you. But your values will stand with you and defend you.

  2. Values Give You Peace, Crowd Gives You Pressure.
When you follow the crowd, you are always anxious about what will people say. When you follow your values, you sleep well, even if nobody claps for you.

  3. At The End, People Respect The Man Who Stood Alone:
They may laugh at you today for being too honest, too strict, too truthful. But tomorrow, when they need a trustworthy person, they will come and look for you. Just like I wrote before that being trustworthy pays.

My Final Word For You Today is don't change your good character because everybody is changing theirs.

If your value is honesty, stand on it, even if the whole market is cheating.

If your value is hard work, stand on it, even if others are making money through shortcuts.

If your value is kindness, stand on it, even if people say you are too soft.

The crowd is noisy but temporary. Your values are quiet but permanent.

So I ask you today are you standing with the crowd, or are you standing with your values?
