Let's discuss briefly about kindness in the society.
Yes, I have seen something in life that still shocks me.
I have seen a man who goes to church every Sunday but cannot help his hungry neighbor on Monday.
I have seen a man who prays 5 times a day but cheats his customers without mercy.
I have seen a man who carries a big Bible but has no forgiveness in his heart.
And then I asked myself, what is the point of religion without kindness?
Just know that God does not need your religion but people need your kindness.
Religion is what you do inside a building like church, mosque, shrine.
While
Kindness is what you do outside that building.
God is not checking how loud you shout Hallelujah on Sunday, but He is checking how you treat the widow, the orphan, the stranger, the poor man on your street on Monday to Saturday.
In my times on earth, I have friends who are Christians, Muslims, traditionalists. I don't ask them their religion before I communicate to them.
Rather, I give them the fair privileges which is kindness.
And kindness is the true religion.
What Religion Has Done To Us.
- Religion has divided us too much.
My church is better than yours.
My pastor is more anointed than yours.
My religion will go to heaven, yours will go to hell.
While we are busy arguing about who is going to heaven, we have forgotten to make this earth a little bit like heaven for each other through kindness.
Also, remember that a cup of water to a thirsty man is more powerful than 10 hours of preaching to him.
Let Me Tell You The Truth.
If your religion makes you hate people of other religions, you have missed God completely.
If your religion makes you proud, you have not met God.
If your religion makes you kind, forgiving, honest, helpful, loving, then you have truly found God, no matter the name you call Him.
I would rather stand with a kind man who has no religion, than with a wicked man who has plenty of religion.
Because at the end of time, God will not ask us, What was your religion?
He will ask us What did you do for your fellow human being?
My Advice For You Today
Before you preach, show kindness.
Before you judge someone's religion, check your own kindness.
Before you post your church activities, help someone in secret.
Be known as a kind man, not just a religious man.
Because kindness is the only religion that every heart understands.
