Hello hivians... Listen

I was watching two boys play chess in my area yesterday.

One boy was very smart.
He was winning.
He had captured the queen, two rooks, and he was just smiling.

The other boy was quiet.
He was losing on the board, but he was looking at something else which is the clock.

And the clock keeps ticking...
Tick.
Tick.
Tick.

Suddenly, the first boy's flag fell and his time finished.
Even though he had more pieces, he still LOST.

And it hit me, In chess, the clock is the only opponent that never makes a move, yet can decide every game.

The Lesson Here Is Not Just For Chess game.
Many of us are like that first boy in life.

We have everything;
We have talent.
We have money.
We have connection.
We have big plans.

But we forget that time is ticking.
You can have the best plans, but if you don't act at the right time, you will still fail.

You can have the best business idea, but if you keep procrastinating that I will do it tomorrow, next week, next year, time will defeat you.

The clock does not need to capture your queen.
It just needs you to waste time.

Truths About The Clock Opponent.

  1. The Clock Doesn't Argue With You.
It doesn't care if you are tired, if you are sick, if your village people are disturbing you.
It keeps moving just like in life, time waits for nobody.

  2. The Clock Punishes The Perfect Player. Some people want to make the perfect move every time. They think and think and think until their time finishes.
Sometimes in life, a good move done on time is better than a perfect move done too late.

  3. The Best Players Respect The Clock. Great chess masters like Magnus Carlsen don't just play the board, they play the clock and they manage their time. In the same way, great men in life manage their time too. They know when to think fast and when to think slow.

So I Ask You Today.
What game are you playing where time is about to flag you?

That book you want to write?
That farm you want to start?
That friend you want to forgive?
That apology you want to make?

The board is still in your favour, but the clock is ticking.

Don't lose on time when you can win on the board.

Move now.

Have you ever lost an opportunity not because you were not good enough, but because you were too slow?
