This summer has been so good for the weather that we haven't needed to check the conditions before arranging a seaside visit. Just pick any day, basically. 馃槉
So off we went again to Littlehampton.
The tide was already halfway out when we arrived. Good timing if you like to just paddle in the shallow water and forage for crabs in the rock pools, but not so good if you just want a swim.
It is lovely here. The facilities are very good. In fact everything a family would need right there on the sea front. There is also an amusement hall. Not my thing but it is obviously very popular and always busy.
We come for the beach which is shingle based with sand and rock pools at low tide.
The river Arun exits at this point, which also acts as access to the small harbour. A small lighthouse stands like a sentinel at the mouth of the river.
