Animals can be so funny sometimes. We visited Tilgate Nature Centre again today. The meerkats were having their siesta and were flat out on the sandy ground enjoying the sunshine.
We were hoping that the cranes had hatched their eggs but it is not certain that there are any at all! One bird was resting on the ground in the same spot as last time. The other one was very active trying to jump up the fencing and get at us! So, its not clear if they abandoned their eggs or not.
There are lemurs here to but every time we come they are inside their den where it is difficult to see them. They have a large outside enclosure to enjoy but I have never seen them out there. Is it just bad timing or perhaps they don't like our climate 馃 馃ぃ.
The parrots were more acclimatised.
