El regreso a casa de los tres niños - Historia [ESP-ENG]
Al salir de las presentaciones Charlie, Lucas y Sofía finalmente emprendieron el camino de regreso a casa, donde los tres niños todavía estaban asimilando lo qué pasó esa tarde, además fueron los últimos en ser escogidos y su oportunidad fue muy baja. Sin embargo, lo lograron y ahora llevaban consigo una noticia que todavía parecía demasiado buena, Charlie llevaba su banjo y no decía nada, Lucas no paraba de festejar y Sofía sonrió y dijo en voz alta —Estamos dentro de los treinta— y aunque estaban cansados, ninguno parecía tener sueño.
Durante todo el camino hablaron de la competencia, de los demás participantes y sobre todo cómo podría ser estar nueva ronda, ya que aún quedaba un largo camino en esa competencia. Luego de horas de camino finalmente llegaron a sus hogares donde Charlie se fue a su casa y allí encontró a toda su familia especialmente a su abuelo, quien de inmediato le preguntó —¿Cómo te fue?— Charlie lo único que respondió fue —¡Clasificamos!— donde toda la familia no paraba de festejar.
After the auditions, Charlie, Lucas, and Sofía finally set off on their way home, where the three kids were still processing what had happened that afternoon—besides, they were the last to be chosen, and their chances were very slim. However, they’d made it, and now they were carrying news that still seemed almost too good to be true. Charlie was carrying his banjo and didn’t say a word; Lucas couldn’t stop celebrating; and Sofía smiled and said aloud, “We’re in the top thirty.” And even though they were tired, none of them seemed sleepy.
The whole way home, they talked about the competition, the other participants, and, above all, what the next round might be like, since there was still a long way to go in the competition. After hours on the road, they finally arrived home. Charlie went to his house, where he found his whole family waiting—especially his grandfather, who immediately asked, “How did it go?” Charlie simply replied, “We qualified!” and the whole family couldn’t stop celebrating.
Lucas también había llegado a casa, donde también estaba su familia esperándolo y de inmediato se dieron cuenta de que Lucas había cambiado, ya que no era el mismo niño nervioso que había salido horas antes, ahora era más seguro y la familia le pregunto —¿Cómo te fue— donde Lucas respondió con mucha alegría —Logramos avanzar— Lucas no paraba de contar cada segundo del viaje. En casa de Sofía, la reacción fue igual de emocionante, su familia la recibió con mucho cariño y de inmediato todos se dieron un gran abrazo, donde también comentó que lo había logrado y clasificaron de ronda, además mientras contaba recordó ese momento de mucha tensión y miedo que les tocó pasar a los tres niños.
Lucas had also arrived home, where his family was waiting for him, and they immediately noticed that Lucas had changed—he wasn’t the same nervous boy who had left hours earlier; now he was more confident. His family asked him, “How did it go?” to which Lucas replied joyfully, “We made it through.” Lucas couldn’t stop recounting every second of the trip. At Sofía’s house, the reaction was just as exciting; her family welcomed her warmly, and they all immediately gave each other a big hug. She also mentioned that she had succeeded and that they had qualified for the next round. As she recounted the story, she recalled that moment of intense tension and fear that the three children had gone through together.
Esa misma noche, los tres niños se enviaron mensajes para mantenerse en contacto, donde los tres parecían estar muy felices por estar en casa, además aún seguía pensando cómo sería la siguiente ronda, puesto que comentaron que sería distinto. Al día siguiente, cada uno comenzó a recuperar fuerzas, a pensar en cómo prepararse, pero en ese momento recibieron un mensaje oficial de los organizadores que decía —Próximamente recibieras la información sobre el nuevo escenario, la fecha, las reglas y los desafíos que tendrían que enfrentar— los tres se miraron, ya que lograron superar la primera etapa, sin embargo, comenzaba una nueva espera para los tres niños.
That same night, the three children sent each other messages to stay in touch; they all seemed very happy to be home, and they were still wondering what the next round would be like, since they’d mentioned it would be different. The next day, each of them began to regain their strength and think about how to prepare, but just then they received an official message from the organizers that read, “You will soon receive information about the new setting, the date, the rules, and the challenges you’ll have to face.” The three looked at each other—they had managed to get through the first stage, but now a new wait was beginning for the three children.
