Every day we are treated to various sensory data. Everything is collected in our memory. Various life experiences that we have experienced since childhood, are in memory. Even though we have probably forgotten most of it, but then stored in the subconscious, our minds also process various data stored in the memory, to draw conclusions, or create new things with our imagination and thinking power. Therefore, we can formulate solutions to the problems we face every day.
Our souls are always trying to find the meaning behind all events. And it is obtained by exploiting our thinking abilities. With thoughts, we try to uncover meaning. From the most superficial to the deepest, it is not enough to stop there, we also try to find the relevance of the meanings we get to the situation and our role in life. Because only the relevant meanings are useful for us to navigate through life.
Humans thirst for meaning. And it is the mind that becomes the means for producing meaning. From sensory data, continues to imagination, to rational or intellectual nuances. Even then stepping into the spiritual realm, it is the duty of us humans, as thinking creatures, to create meaning that is useful in reading life events. So that with it our souls can get nutritious food.
