Philosophers are psychiatrists of the soul. To patients who come for advice, a psychiatrist must provide advice based on his knowledge, NOT based on the patient's wishes. Inevitably, some patients visit a psychiatrist not to hear advice from the psychiatrist, but to hear the psychiatrist's approval of their desires. Thus, if the advice given is not in accordance with the patient's wishes, the patient will seek other psychiatrists who support his wishes.
In cyberspace, too. Not all netizens seek the truth by analyzing post content. Some of them are just looking for justification for what they have believed, posts that are not in accordance with their beliefs, posts are not liked, the post is blasphemed. Even philosophers, will be considered fake, if they say something that is contrary to their beliefs.
Conversely, posts that are in accordance with beliefs, will be liked and shared. however irrational the content. as a result, in the theoretical realm, philosophers cannot be neutral. Philosophers must side with the truth. Philosophers write based on truth, not on reader's taste. If the reader is annoyed, so be it. Because philosophy, to borrow the term Che Guevara, is not a factory of imitation humans.
