Mary had a bad day at work, and she thought of visiting the coffee shop down the street to get over it with a cup a Cappuccino. She didn't have the mind of going there alone because she hates being alone in the coffee shop, and so she texted Mike to join her since that was his favorite type of coffee.

The doorbell to the popular coffee café down the street chimed as Mary opened the door. Having hung her coat on the hook, she glanced around for a place to sit. She chose an empty corner beside a window and ordered a Cappuccino for Mike and herself.

While waiting for Mike, she reflected on how shattered and disorganised her life was and that triggered her thought as she began to think about how she has been searching for perfection all her life. She was angry that all her hard work over the years remains futile.

Mary has dreamt all her life for the perfect job, the perfect man, the perfect home and every little thing that can be associated with perfection. She was tired of searching for love. She was tired of going to bars every weekend hoping she would meet the perfect person with a fancy car who would die for her. It was just as if she was fantasizing about some fairy tale.

Just then, Mike walked in and snapped her out of her thoughts. The waiter came around and served them their orders. The cup of cappuccino tasted great and that brought back sweet memories as they began to argue about the coffee shops with the best coffee in town.

While they were still talking and laughing, drinking their cup of cappuccino, something breezed into Mary's thought. "What else am I looking for in a man?". Mike has always been there for me. He always seems to make me forget my worries. Does this mean the person I have been searching for all this time, was right in front of me?

It was as if she suddenly opened her eyes right after she had come to conclusion that there is nothing like perfection. It was today, on a cold evening, in a coffee shop that she realized she has found perfection. She saw perfection right through his eyes.

Mike was an average looking guy, nothing different, except he is little taller than the average. However, he was those kinds of people whom you could just pass by on the street and never bother to take a second look at them. Mike was about the most average person anybody could find. He did not have a fancy car neither did he look perfect but, she felt like she had never seen such perfection all her life.

She didn't even have the slightest clue of what she was looking for, and now she had seen perfection. It was as if everything else was pointless. Mike was just himself. He was not out chasing girls at some fancy place but he was at a coffee shop with her. He was just him, but for her, he was perfect even in his imperfection.

The day was drawing to a close and everyone seemed to be hurrying home before the rain pours down. He settled the bills and they went out of the cafe. Mary already saw perfection in Mike and so, she invited him to her house.

That was the beginning of something perfect, the beginning of a perfect love story.
