Transportation is one of the services we readily need in life, be it directly or indirectly, privately or publicly. This forms one of the major sectors of a country. Everyone needs it because we need to move, and as we move from one place to another, ranging from short to long-distance journeys, we require the services of a transport system. Thankfully, we have several of them according to the various means made available for our use.
It's no new knowledge that we have three modes of transportation; being the land, water and air. Basic knowledge or social studies has taught us that. With each mode of transportation, there are options for use within. Transportation by land has bicycles, motorcycles, tricycles, cars, and trains. At least the majority of what we have in the modern world. By water; the likes of canoes, boats and ships. And by air, there are aeroplanes, hot air balloons and so on.
Sadly, I've not gotten the experience of journeying on all these modes of transportation. Someday I would do all of that. But for now, that experience is lacking for some. I guess my options are limited then. I can only speak of that which I've had the privilege of experiencing, which is land transportation, given that we live on land and so, our mobility is mainly on it. This has the most options depending on one's preference, need or availability.
I've enjoyed motorcycle rides, tricycle rides, and car rides of different types. Motorcycles are getting quite unpopular in some parts of my country, and that's mainly for commercial purposes. Then there's the tricycle which came in handy. I'll say that I find this more comforting and appealing than a motorcycle. But of course, there are situations or places where a motorcycle is the preferable or even the necessary option. That's especially true in remote places.
A tricycle gives the feeling of a bit of both a motorcycle ride and a car ride. While its use isn't mostly for long-distance journeys but for mobility within a town or city, it's appealing in how it shields and is still open for one to enjoy and connect with the environment during the ride. Nevertheless, it doesn't match the comfort of riding in a car. There are several of these cars, some of which are even luxurious, not just for the purpose of transportation.
I don't know if to say I have a favourite as my options are limited. As kids, we always fancied the idea of being up in the sky and riding on the clouds, more than any other mode of transportation. I would like to have a taste of all, and maybe then this question will be justifiably answered. But even at that, I remain grateful for the privilege to enjoy the one available, though it doesn't look so since it's the most common. Yes, I'm grateful.
