I agree a lot about how the world today is cruel and unpleasant. And it might only get worse. I've wondered what bringing a child into this kind of world means. But...

Saying people shouldn't give birth to children doesn't sound right to me. Well, we can have that as a personal choice but not generally.

Where I see us going with this premise is us shifting focus from solving our problems and latching it on something else. Human greed and selfishness are responsible for the world being like this and that rather should be addressed.

Also, the world has never been at its best to bring a child. It might never be. The concerns of today aren't new realities. Yet, that never stopped childbirth, and see the great minds born that brought several innovations and solutions that were needed.

If the world will get better, it'll take time, and that means many generations. But if the future generation isn't born, how will that happen? Apart from humans going extinct, it's quite ironic but children are in fact the hope of fixing this world.

PS. I don't advocate for explosive childbirth and giving birth to children without being responsible for them.
