Are first impressions usually accurate?

Some people say that when they meet people for the first time, after a few minutes of interactions they can tell a lot about them. They say this with confidence and certainty.

I don't know, but can that be really be true, in all cases? Does first impression really say the truth and can what we think about people from first meetings be so?
