Underground road tunnels

There are several bold bets by Elon Musk and some will cease to be promises and will begin to operate this year, according to Musk himself 2026 may mark that turning point in urban transportation. Boring Company plans to inaugurate the first functional section of the Nashville Loop, the system of underground tunnels will connect the city center, the convention center and the Nashville international airport in just 8 minutes using electric vehicles.

The proposal is ambitious, taking cars off the surface, reducing congestion and offering fast transportation with zero emissions. At the same time, Tesla is preparing a significant expansion. The company intends to start production of the Cyber Cab, a fully autonomous vehicle, in 2026, in addition to accelerating mass manufacturing of the Tesla Sem electric truck and the Optimus Gentry humanoid robots. The idea is to bring automation not only to transportation, but also to factories, logistics and services.

Software, cars, Robots, Energy and Spaceships.

Another decisive step is in the software, Tesla plans to launch full self-driving in completely unsupervised mode, a milestone that if it works as promised can redefine the concept of human driving. In parallel, the company expands its energy storage operations with the Megapactory and MegaBlock systems, designed to sustain large-scale electrical networks and meet the growing demand for clean energy.

On the artificial intelligence front Xia, another Musk startup is expanding the Colossus supercomputer in Memphis, Tennessee, the company has already acquired a third building and plans to raise the training capacity to something close to 2 GB, a level comparable to the energy consumption of a small city dedicated exclusively to training models days and not even the media sector was left out.

Platform X, also controlled by Musk, is studying increasing payments to content creators with the stated ambition of competing and possibly surpassing YouTube in an attempt to attract and retain original productions. When you put together underground tunnels, self-driving cars, humanoid robberies, supercomputers and new ways to monetize content, it becomes clear that 2026 is not just another year on Musk's calendar, it may be the time when several of these technologies advance together.
