Winter is not my favourite season. If I had to choose in order of least to most favourite, Winter would be least, followed by Spring, Fall, and Summer being my favourite. Now that being said, there are some very special things that happen in Winter, but not possible in Summer. Hoarfrost on the trees is one of them special things! A photographer’s dream. In order for hoarfrost to form, there has to be sufficient water vapour in the air, then at the “dew point” (when moisture turns to ice crystals / frost), the crystallized water then sticks to branches, needles and the like. Cool eh!
