This is it! The coveted “Lookout Point”. I finally made it. But the last stretch of this hike was actually quite steep and awkward. Before getting to this point, I did ponder giving up and just returning back down. Thank goodness I had trekking poles with, I don’t think I could have made it without them. I’m sure glad I soldiered through though. The view from this point was really really nice. That rock edge is a popular selfie destination, I suppose it would be a great spot for it, but I’m not much of the selfie type, plus a little too close to the edge for my liking. I like hiking up to higher elevations, but getting too close to edges and cliffs is not for me. I only like to take calculated risks.
