Ever notice those rock piles that seem to pop up here and there when on the hiking trail? Probably right. So I was wondering what they actually call them. I knew they had a name. So I Had to look it up. They are called “Rock Cairns”. Officially they are trail markers for navigational purposes, but mostly, I’d say people build them just for the fun of it! Ever made one? Both Cairns were created inside Jura Canyon, Kananaskis country, Alberta.
