Well retracing my steps now, back to the east end of the lake, where I started! The shoreline here had a distinct redness to it, even the sand was somewhat red in colour. It was incredibly beautiful! It obviously must be due to the iron oxide prevalence in the area. It really was peculiarly mysterious to see the red hues in full effect, mixed with the other nearby colours. Imagine walking around a lake on mars, it could be similar to this! Thanks for stopping by.
