At this point in the hike, I’m thinking to myself, I wonder where the lake is and how much further do we go? Typical thoughts when doing a hike for the first time ever. You see, I tend to repeat some of the better hikes, because it’s just so awesome really to encounter the same sort of beauty over and over again. This one today is a “first timer”. Hike to Helen Lake, Banff Park, Alberta. From what I have seen so far, it will be one to go on the repeat list. In the meantime, it is quite a thrill to be somewhat uncertain about what to expect as you venture down the trail and through the trees! As long as you have the bear spray close at hand, all is well and thrilling on the trail!
