Do they make the soup from the seeds?

Yes, after it is smoothly grinded. Perhaps I'll share a picture of the soup someday.

Is the fish smoked or dried?

The stock fish is well dried

I sometimes cannot tell the difference. How terrible, right?

Oops! Smoked or dried, they all taste great

The waterleaf would be used for salads?

I've not tried using it for salad before so I can't really say.
But there's a popular soup here in my state called afang-soup.
Growing up, whenever my parents were expecting August visitors, afang-soup has always been the the preferred option for my mom to use and serve the visitors.
Water leaf plays a vital role in the soup.

Palm oil is very expensive here.

It's really not expensive over here. A bottle of it is almost half a dollar.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.
More blessings to you
