Most people have loved things to fall to their favor despite its effect on other people's conscience. The issue isn't different from the historical antecedence or precedence in Sodom.
I have tried to scrutinize if there is actually any malady in modernization but the fact is that it is not really an issue of modernization but rather a non conscientious and unethical improvement of what was obtained in Gomorrah.
Genesis 1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (NIV)
This is the agenda of God from the onset. This biblical reference emphatically posits that God is not irrational to have created the two genders at the beginning but man will always choose his own routine.
The economist Malthus elucidated his school of thought regarding population, he asserting that the world's population is on a geometrical growth meaning that population is increasing in the order of 1, 2, 4, 16… and I have tried to speculate if this is actually the reason why homosexuality and gay is vehemently fostered by the modern day society to possibly reduce the world population but my result is far different from what I intend it should have been.
The replication and modernization of the living pattern we saw in Sodom and Gomorrah is stinkingly on its peak that it is now the order of the day without any form of ignominy that could have led to remorsity by those concerned but rather even those at the top have approved and welcome this demonic idealism.
We saw how God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah on account of homosexuality in Gen. 19:24 Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah from the LORD out of the heavens.(NIV)
Do we say that God is not concerned with what is happening in our world today? Not really because in Act 17:31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.” (NIV)
He has really set a date for all the evil that is happening in the world to be judged by Christ who shed his blood for us.
These days, we see men coupling with men, humans marrying animals but what does the Bible instruct about this sort of evil?
In Leviticus 20:15 “ ‘If a man has sexual relations with an animal, he is to be put to death, and you must kill the animal. (NIV)
The intention of God concerning a man marrying an animal is a punishment attracting death of both parties but the reverse is the case in our society where even the different regional governments have signed these demonic inticacies of bills into law permitting people to happily indulge into these forms of evil.
We saw how God punished the cities of Sodas and Gomorrah on account of this sort of evil but does it mean that God isn't seeing what our generation is doing? No!
Bible says in psalm 86:15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.(NIV)
So it's just God's mercy that our generation has not been consumed. It's not actually that God has not seen this height of evil in our societies or that our generation has not done this evil to the measure of what was obtained in Sodom or Gomorrah.
Finally, we as Christians are to speak against this form of evil and also admonish others not to support this form of abhorrent act.
