I write this with heavy heart. My country is in chaos right now. Others might not see it but it staring us in the face. Yesterday was the Presidential and National Assembly( House of Assembly and House of Representatives) elections. It all started peacefully but then took a mischievous turn towards noon. What started out peaceful ended up bloody. People were killed here and there, ballot boxes were snatched, ballot papers were burnt, collation offices were burnt too.
Is this what took 4 years to plan? Everything just went to waste? Haba! This is just painful. Are we as a nation, progressing or going backwards. This is not what we want. Whatever happened to democracy and free and fair election? Some people were even beaten with cains and bullied to vote against their choice. Killings everywhere. The youth that are supposed to be the leaders of tomorrow are the thugs of today. How are we supposed to live in peace?
As i am writing, I'm feeling something tugging at my heart, literally. It's crazy. It's disheartening and disgusting too. I don't even know what to say anymore.
Which way Nigeria? Which way?
