Bars vs Bullion
Bars tend to have the lowest premium of all types of investment grade silver
However, as some of you may be aware, the UK tax angle makes owning a bar far less attractive that a bullion coin.
But are there other reasons not to hold too many bars?
(1) Bars are not legal tender
(2) Bars are easier to forge
(3) Less collectable than bullion coins
(4) Bars are harder to verify
(5) Bars tend to come in bigger sizes to bullion, potentially limiting who will buy it from you.
I'd appreciate others views and opinions!
