Time is relative
A few weeks ago I posted a short blog on time and why it seems to go quicker the older you get( https://steemit.com/life/@dasczecher/why-time-seems-to-be-getting-quicker).
I still stand by the idea that as you age, life goes by quicker, as a year becomes a smaller fraction of your life. However, having been on holiday for almost a week now, I realise that there's a little more to it than just fractions and less 'new' life experiences to be had (i.e. been there, done it before):
Time is relative.......relative to what you're doing!
"Only when you stop observing time will you break free from its shackles!" (I just made that one up - feel free to quote me!!!)
At work, I'm always stressing about time. Constantly clock watching whether it's waiting for information to come to me, getting a report out or just waiting until it's time to go home.
On holiday it's the complete opposite. I savour every bit of the day. I have no schedule and no rules. I do what I want, when I want!
I have therefore come to the conclusion that if you don't want time to dominate your life, you need to break free from the 'System'; strive to be financially independent so that you can be your own master - Live your Life to the Full!
