Heard about Steemit from word of mouth and how intresting it sounded as a platform, as a kid I remeber never wanting to be locked down into one job or occupation. By the time I was 10 I easily went through over 20 possibilities of future occupations, often one giving rise to the others (Palentology ~ Volcanology).
Recently earned a B.S. in Environmental Science and have been adding novel and functional skillsets to the ones I took intrest in, in college. Among them I have been drawn toward poetry at the youngest age, suffering from social anxiety and depression of circumstance, I found solace alone and in my own mind be it for better or worse. Most of my early short poetry was burnt in teen angst.
Through the lens of depression, anxiety and fear at a young age due to the eventual loss of a parent fairly early in life I became more open with myself and others. Rediscovering poetry in college, I quickly regained interest. Around the middle of college after losing my mother, I quickly saw that life wasn't ever supposed to be about one thing, at least in massive proportion. From then I quickly picked up a love for all things that photosynthesize dabbling heavily in gardening, plant identification and amateur botany and mycology.
Towards the end of my college experience I began to branch out into hobbies such as fire-spinning and photography and a variety of crafts that I hope to expand.I hope to use this platform as an outlet in times of anxiety, doubt or depression and be open to the community wither it be art in some form, sharing/discussing pertinent news about the current events and learing about other perspectives to carry along the journey!
