Welcome to my personal journey in Hive Learners! As a member of the community, I have come across dynamic and diverse individuals who hail from different parts of the world. Every day, through interactions with them, I learn about their unique perspectives and experiences.
Although I have not had the opportunity to participate since the beginning of the community, the short time I have spent here has been an amazing time in which I have been able to discover more about myself while developing even greater skills of empathy for others. It has been said that stepping out of your comfort zone is essential to growth. When we take the time to see things from another person's perspective, we can begin to understand how they feel and why they think and act the way they do. This can help us build empathy and compassion for others, even those who may be different from us. This experience taught me the importance of empathy in our increasingly divided world. When we take the time to really see things from another person's perspective, we can begin to break down barriers and build understanding, compassion, and a sense of connection with others, even if that connection is only through a post, comment or upvote.
Now let's look at my favorite community topics. Some may make you think deeply, while others may sound familiar as they relate to the modern world we live in.
"I'm Sorry"
My favorite topic is "I'm sorry." But because of my busy schedule and lack of free time, I haven't been able to participate in it or some of the others. Like, I say many of the topics would make one think for a long time. It is difficult to say "sorry" sometimes, regardless of whether we are right or wrong. This little word, has a really big meaning almost like a spell, because by saying it, we can change a lot of things (maybe even the world). Sometimes we even have to overcome our stubbornness and selfishness to do so.
"As Parent"
When we see a parent scolding their child or not caring about them on the street, we wonder what that parent went through to become like that. It is not uncommon for us to repeat our parents' mistakes without considering the consequences we inflict on our children. These consequences create a human being, the habits we create for them, their mental health, and social behavior. Think about that the next time you do something like your parents.
"Opportunity Lost, Opportunity Found"
Many people miss opportunities every day because they don't want to take a chance or they overthink things too much and by the time they make their decision it's too late. Work, life or love.
"Pressure"
There are a lot of pressure in this day and age. Our social contacts, our jobs, our household chores. It's almost the same for everyone, but we are blind and we accept stereotypes. Every generation has a different pressure. What did the previous generation go through to get us where we are now? Their lives were not easy either. Did we say thank you or sorry?
"The First Encounter"
When I missed this topic, I was a little upset. When you meet your best friend for the first time, it is truly amazing. Maybe even better than your first love, especially if the relationship lasts for years. The precious moments you've had together, the memories and seeing how you've changed as people over the years but still hold each other tight. It will always bring you a smile and fill your heartwhen you look back with that person by your side as you grow older.
Let our children not grow up in a terrible world. Together we can make it better. It is our destiny to
suffer from the past, to long for the future, but to forget the present.
