dCity is a game integrated to the HIVE Blockchain in which you can get rewards as you build and manage the resources of a virtual city, each element of the city as its buildings or inhabitants are NFT tokens, which you can buy, sell or give away, being each token unique and belonging entirely to its owner.
In addition to NFT tokens, dCity allows you to generate earnings on various tokens such as SIM (the official game currency), WEED, BEER and other tokens that can be exchanged on the Hive-Engine exchange.
dCity is a game where we can generate profits but for that we must meet some requirements:
When you enter dcity.io you will find this initial screen, here you will find more information about the game, the existing card types and new features of the last update. I recommend taking a look at it to understand a little more of what all this is about.
To log in, go to the upper right corner, enter the name of your Hive account and click on the arrow.
Once logged in the name of our hive account and avatar will appear in the upper right corner, we can click on our name to see the information of the tokens we have at that time.
If we click on the City tab, we will go to the map of the same, there we can see in detail the elements that make up our city, this window is distributed as follows:
On top, we find a small submenu with several options, let's review some of them.
Shows us similar information to the one we have in the map, but ordered differently, in the list below we can see the points of population, popularity, etc. of each one of our cards, we can also do actions like transfer or sell.
These are very coveted cards, here we can enable those technologies that we want to learn, then it will begin a process of research that will give us a small chance of obtaining such technology.
In order to have a chance of discovering a technology our city must have a research center in addition to a positive popularity, the chances of discovering a new technology are low but will increase as education in our city increases.
In the auctions we can acquire cards at a very good price, these auctions close in a random time between 40~72 hrs. To participate, place the number of SIM cards you want to bid on in the box and click on the "place bid" button.
The events are temporary improvements that our city receives increasing sensitively the probabilities of receiving new citizens specialized in different areas depending on the event that is activated, these cost certain amount and type of token depending on the event.

Here we can see the classification of the cities and the reward pool, this pool is distributed among the top 200 places in the classification.
We can obtain cards mainly in two ways, we can buy them in the store for a cost of 4 HIVE or 800 SIM and we will get a random card, or we can go directly to the market to buy the card we need at the price the owner has set.

At the beginning I recommend you to buy some cards from the market, generally you get very basic cards to start producing at a relatively lower cost than if you bought the card from the store. Don't lose sight of the auctions, they are great opportunities to get deals for lower than market prices.
A few immigrants or homeless will help you complete the labor force you need for your first jobs in your city, but be careful not to neglect your popularity or crime rate, nor have an overpopulation because it will begin to consume your income. As you progress through the game you can look for skilled labor and some specific buildings.
Among the buildings you should try to have in your city are:
Depending on the technologies you are able to discover or buy from the market, you can consider a more specialized strategy, for example, if you have the control technologies, you can consider having a greater number of immigrants or homeless because you can minimize the crime rate. The education branch allows you to discover new technologies faster. The automation branch improve industries so it would be very good to have numerous factories if you have these technologies. And finally the utilities branch increases the profitability of farms, power plants and garbage dumps.
