I would like to think there would be a lot of resistance to such a move here in the U.S. but anymore I don't know. I've used a credit union for as long as I have had an kind of bank account. Being member owned makes it a lot more customer friendly that your average bank.
The big anti-cash move here since COVID has been dubious coin shortages. It seems to have eased up some recently but ever since COVID businesses have had a hard time getting enough coins to consistently make change when needed.
