I think the most likely ways, in no particular order are :

1. Some "famous people" (I hate the term influencers) joining hive and making it their home on the internet. Preferably some who are more than "internet famous".

2. More successful games and/or other killer dapps built on hive (this is by far the most important one).

3. Coinbase listing (and/or maybe other large exchanges)

3 could even make 1 and 2 more likely...but I don't know what difficulties are involved in getting hive listed. But then 2 could also make 1 and 3 more likely.
