RE: The Shining: By Steven King

I remember reading The Eyes of the Dragon (or something like that) many years ago. It was a fantasy book that King wrote. I liked it at the time but it's been so long I don't remember it now, lol. I think

RE: Maximum PC (April 2006)

There really aren't any major PC magazines (or video game magazines) published in print in the U.S. anymore. Victims of the Internet.

RE: THE FAILED EXECUTION OF CHRISTA PIKE

I'm generally against the death penalty provided that people who commit horrific crimes like this are behind bars with no possibility of getting out. It's not just about punishment but also protecting

RE: Scream Is One Of The Greatest Horror Movies Of The 1990s. Wes Craven’s 1996 Classic Mixes Genuine Suspense, Dark Comedy And A Clever Take On Slasher Movie Clichés To Create A Film That Helped Revive The Horror Genre.

Yet I am still disappointed Drew Barrymore didnt have a larger role.

RE: The Shining: By Steven King

Its hard for me to think of It and The Stand as later works given that the vast majority of his books have been written since then. His newer books, like post Needful Things, are mostly not nearly as good

I'm not going to call UFOs 'UAPs' and I'm not going to call artificial intelligence 'super intelligemce'. That is all.

RE: The seductive rise of retrofuturism – and why it isn't really ironic

I'm not sure that people in the 1950s were any more optimistic or pessimistic than today. The good just gets remembered more than the bad. Today, even a relatively poor person has things like a giant

RE: R-Type Franchise Re Release Enters PreOrder Status

I think Super R-Type was the only version I played extensively. There is a small chance i have an unopened R-Type DX somewhere. Probably not but I'll have to check...

RE: Not Happening Bro

Education varies by state pretty significantly. I think these instances are a little less isolated in some places than in others.

RE: Amiga Force (June 1993)

I really wanted an Amiga when I went to college. I was upgrading from a Commodore 64. However, by 1993 it was pretty clear that the PC was the future. I still would have liked to have that Amiga 4000 though

RE: Vietnam vs. Mexico in terms of living there is concerned (part 1)

Sounds like prices in Mexico have been creeping closer to U.S. prices. Where I live in Florida (not known for cheap housing prices these days) you can find 2 bedroom apartments for about $1250. Granted,

RE: Something that has changed since "my time": Almost nobody smokes anymore

I graduated high school in 1993 and even then, there werent that many students that smoked, at least where I lived. It seemed like a pretty quick transition from the late 80s to the early 90s. My parents

RE: Would you believe that Mexico is green ?

About 50% of Mexico is in fact a desert. But as you said, Mexico is huge and that still leaves 50%. I imagine the temperature in Mexico really depends on your elevation. If you are in flatter areas i would

RE: [Movie] The Phantom Planet: Just a Love Story in Space 👨🏻‍🚀👨🏻‍🚀, Classic Review

Mystery Science Theater 3000 is one of my all tie favorite shows. The original series ran from 1989 to 1999 and each episode typically featured an old sci-fi movie (though there were other genres). There

When i last bought a vehicle (about 4 years ago) i considered EV but at that time there was still a fairly large price premium. Most features available on electric cars are also available on gas cars these
