Having visited my parents for dinner, I was in two minds whether to try this shot seeing as there is a hunters moon I was considering going home and getting the telescope out, until it clouded over at least.
I'd taken my stuff with me as I'd been thinking about the shot all day, constantly changing my mind as to whether I should go up to the monument or not, although only around 10 mins from my parents house.
I thought to myself, if I don't try the shot today, I may not get the chance until next year, what with the storm that's due to hit us again in the next few days.
I knew that I would be taking multiple shots and blending them, just so I can get a more even lighting over the monument. One of my photography friends 
There is a bit of a green tinge to the light, however, the colour select tool in lightroom certainly helped to get the colour right.
The second shot, I concentrate more on the legs and arch, as mentioned before to get a more even exposure, I could have most likely exposed with a longer shutter speed, but I thought this the best solution for tonight.
There's probably light painters cringing at my technique for tonight, but it's the first bit of light painting I've done for quite a few years, so thought I'd take it easy tonight.
The final shot is one with the drone above the monument with no other lighting, I wanted it to be cloudy when I did the shot as to add more than a clear sky. Although I do have some more shots planned in the future which do include stars.
It looks like I am really close to the monument here, but I was a lot higher than it looks on the photo, I was shooting up hill and below the monument so that's probably why it looks like it does.
The light on the bottom of the DJI Mini 4 Pro is excellent, it's lovely seeing an area lit with it, although it's not as bright as a lume cube, but I don't have one of these and my drone wouldn't be able to carry one as far as I know.
So, planning the shot, then the heavens opened after about a minute or two setting the first shot up, I was gutted, landed the drone and packed it away as soon as possible, the camera also got wet through, thankfully it's not damaged it.
Overall, I love the final shot of this monument, even though it's not the shot I went for, it will do until I can make another trip.
One great thing about going out at night, is the wildlife you can still hear, especially owls, always love to hear an owl lol.
