Ardbeg Rob Roy – Door Knock

I’ve been meaning to checkout Door Knock (@doorknock_sydney) ever since I heard about it’s opening at the old Norsk Dor venue on Pitt st. The main reason being Jonothan (@jonothandc), one of my favourite bartenders in the country works there. He makes one epically delicious Ardbeg Rob Roy (@ardbeg @ardbeg_usa). And I was pleasantly surprised to discover the 2nd best plate of Chicken Wings in Sydney (1st being the Snow Cheese Chicken Wings from Sparrow’s Mill). I was so surprised I cancelled our plans for dinner in Bondi after finishing the 1st plate and ordered two more plates of these epic wings. That dry rub with an Ardbeg Rob Roy combo is the shit!!!
Hope you enjoy Tokyo Jonothan; but not so much that you don’t come back to Door Knock. I can still remember my 1st trip in ‘06 I cried on the tarmac at Narita Airport when my plane was taking off to return to Australia.
