Today I wanted to investigate a little about the art and the strange things in the world and I found this, I hope you like it I hope you leave your upvote and your comment...
This impressive effect on the sea is caused by phytoplankton known as Lingulodinium polyedrum. They are a species of dinoflagellata, unicellular microorganisms that form part of marine and freshwater phytoplankton. It is usually found in tropical waters.
The wonderful show is thanks to the presence of millions of luminescent particles of this phytoplankton. These microorganisms emit light by receiving external stimuli such as when the waves of the sea pass over them.
It is an unusual phenomenon. In fact, although this phenomenon was known, scientists do not quite understand why.
This photo was taken in The Maldives by the Taiwanese photographer, Will Ho. Although the beaches of this paradisiacal island are not the only ones that enjoy this natural beauty, this is the photograph that best picks up the phenomenon. The people of San Diego could also enjoy this wonderful show, which turned the sea into fluorescent blue at night and reddish day
