For the last five years I have been actively observing the Sun, the Earthquakes, Volcanoes and other alerts. I am fascinated by the world and so to pay it forward I have created DarkflameEarth.com where you can access all the tools that I use. The community page on Facebook has been the go-to place for updates, however I am going to begin posting my observations here first, and then share them on social media afterwards.
The Global Incident Map has the best earthquake tracking because it uses data from multiple feeds.
As I am working on this update there was another quake, a Mag2.7 in Oklahoma.
Why are there earthquakes in Oklahoma? As The Guardian reported two days ago,
" The number of magnitude-3.0 or greater earthquakes has soared in Oklahoma, from a few dozen in 2012 to more than 900 last year. Scientists have linked the increase to the underground disposal of wastewater from oil and gas production and state regulators have asked producers to reduce wastewater disposal volumes."

The sun is supposed to be quiet right now but there has been some activity in recent weeks. Last weekend there was an unexpected eruption that arrived on Earth over the last two days. Solarsoft tracks this information.
This C2.4 Coronal Mass Ejection started at 聽2016/08/11 16:32:00 .
You can look up the source imagery on Helioviewer.org and see for yourself.
Solarsoft doesn't keep records of all these solar flares. In 2012 I tried to count all the large flares.
It's not as easy as it sounds. The small ones (A&B) are barely worth noting. The C's are ten times larger.
M flares and X flares are more significant, NASA says "The energy from a flare can disrupt the area of the atmosphere through which radio waves travel. This can lead to degradation and, at worst, temporary blackouts in navigation and communications signals." so those are the main ones I watch for.
If we don't backup this information ^ it will be very hard to find later.
Here is a map of all currently erupting from VolcanoDiscovery.com
