Ordinary people,
With extraordinary lives.
They love,
Without expecting anything in return.
They wish,
Upon a distant star that burns.
With a cruel fire,
No answer returns.
Still they hope,
Without cause.
And they live,
Like life is glass.
And they are dancing,
On a rushing river of fire.
Their light,
Never ceases to burn.
Even when there is no life,
To light their torch.
They learn,
Because they were taught,
That knowledge is power.
Now nothing can cause them
To cease to desire,
What is theirs.
They climb,
Without any guarantee,
That they will reach the end.
This is why humanity,
Is worth fighting for.
Because when push comes to shove,
They never give up.
