And Montenegro again! Namely Durmitor National Park! So, we visited two places in this park. So, the first place is the bridge of Djurdjevic Tara. After a long road through serpentines, we did get to this amazing find! This bridge offers an incredible view of the mountains, forest and river. This is incredible beauty. A dense, richly green forest of pines and Christmas trees. This is an incredible color of green mountains. And the river over which the bridge is built complements this entire landscape with its turquoise water.
This is simply an incredible beauty of nature. The Bridge of Djurdjevic Tara is one of the most famous sights of Montenegro. Therefore, when we arrived here, there were extremely many people and cars. Judging only by the numbers, the bridge does not seem very high: only 172 meters above the Tara River. But when you stand there, it seems that you are several kilometers below you. The Djurdjevic Tara Bridge is a concrete arch bridge, which until recently was considered the largest vehicular arch bridge in Europe.
By the way, if you want to walk on the bridge, be careful, because there is practically no separate pedestrian zone on the bridge, tourists walk right on the road. This bridge captures the content of the scenery, mountains, mountains and mountains everywhere. This is the absolute harmony of nature (of course, if you ignore all the tourists around). And there was also a Zipline. A rope on which you are attached and you fly for a few seconds above the canyon. Unfortunately, as always, I didn't try ๐ญ. In principle, we did not want to stay in one place for a long time, so we went to another point of our stop.
And the second place is Black Lake. First, when we arrived, we got out of the car and headed on foot. After walking a little we finally reached the pearl. Here it is, a huge, emerald-colored lake! This is an incredible lake, in the middle of the forest and with a view of the mountain. And the mountain is not simple, and it is called Bear Mountain.
By the way, as it turned out, there are not one, but two reservoirs. By the way, we wanted to get to the second one, but it was already too late. During the dry summer and autumn, the lakes dry up a little, and an isthmus appears between them. Walking along the path around the Black Lake, you can shorten the way.
And now some legends. Everyone who sees the emerald surface of the mountain lake for the first time asks: - Why is it called Black? I am inclined to the version about dark Christmas trees, which after sunset, reflecting in the water, create such an effect. But in any mountains, people make up legends... In the 13th century, Saint Sava came to the Durmitor mountains for the sake of a monastery that was located at the site of the Black Lake. The monks greeted him with hospitality, but doubted that it was really the Saint. And they decided to test it by stabbing a rooster at night and putting a bag next to it.
The next day, Saint Sava set off on his way, and the monks followed him, shouting: Hey, father, and you still call yourself a Saint... why did you steal our rooster at night? - What do you say, God and the angels are with you! How can I rob a monastery? - he answered.
- So it's you! the monks shouted and threw the bag off their shoulder, taking out the bird.
Saint Sava got angry and said: - God grant that the earth collapses where your monastery is now. And for this place to become a Black Lake, and not a village!
He revived the dead rooster, and at the same moment it turned into a grouse. When the monks returned to the monastery, they were amazed at what they saw! The earth collapsed, the monastery and the settlement fell into the abyss, and the entire space was flooded with water. Only the black cap of one monk remained on the surface of the Black Lake.
