Who needs to travel to the Maldives when you're already here?
What’s up, hivers! On my 13th blog, I'm going to take you on a tour to Wakat Sea Breeze Resort. Or, as I like to call it, the “Maldives in Surigao”. This resort is one of the most highly rated Tour Agency in Bislig. The resort’s name Wakat means "Mangroves" in Visayan dialect, because there are many mangroves in the area. The view from Wakat Sea Breeze Resort is definitely a breathtaking.
I couldn't contain my joy, so there goes my iconic stolen shot.
The cloudy one, was my first visit in the area.
With my editing skills. Haha
The sunny one, was my second visit in the area.
Wakat Sea Breeze Resort is one of Bislig City's tourism attractions. Because it is situated in the center of the sea, facing the Hagonoy and Lubas islands, this resort resembles a mini-Maldives. By the way, its location offers a great view and has a fantastic view of Hagonoy Island.
Family gatherings, team building, birthday parties, and couples are all welcome at the resort, which serves freshly caught seafoods.
Fresh seafoods such as crabs, sea shells, and more are available at this location.
To get to this location, you must first pass through the mangroves and you must use a pump boat motorized boat from Barangay Caguyao. The roundtrip ticket is only Php 50.00 per head or per person, and the boat can accommodate a maximum of 10 people. For Php 500.00, you can hire the entire boat.
Whether it's low or high tide, the boatman will be the one to take you out through the mangroves.
We gradually made our way to the end of the mangroves. Due to low tide, it took us around 10-15 minutes to get to the resort.
For access and cottages, you can either rent a cottage and enjoy the fresh seafood, or pay a Php 30.00 entrance charge to walk around the area and snap pictures.
The resort itself has own version of swimming pool. Relax and enjoy swimming with your friends and family while basking in the warmth of the Seabreeze.
This resort's ambiance appeals to me. It's a good thing we were here when it was peaceful and secluded. And I adore the sea breeze. I would definitely return again.
Currently, only locals are aware of this resort, and only a few tourists are aware of its existence.
It is, without a doubt, a pleasant location to unwind.
So, try to visit our very own Maldives in Surigao!
