Skyweaver is an NFT-powered TCG running on the Polygon network which very recently launched into open beta. The private beta was live for over 2 years; which I was granted access to in February of 2020 and played several hundred matches between then and now.
As far as TCG's go, it's not unreasonable, when playing a new game for the first time, to expect to be able to play it easily based on the nearly universal simillarities in mechanics and gameplay. This is not true of Skyweaver. The team behind this game has clearly played plenty of TCG's in their time, and wanted Sky (the game world as stated by the lore) to be a fresh and unique experience.
One such factor that stands out from any other TCG I've spent time playing is the way that spells work. As with most trading card games, there are unit cards and spell action cards; with the unique aspect coming from the capability of certain spell cards to be equipped to creature units; for later use. This also changes the way debuff cards work in most TCG's to date; instead of needing to wait a certain number of turns, or draw a card that would allow you to remove the debuff, there is a mana cost associated with it allowing you to "dust" the card by spending that much mana. (dusting is the games term for sending a card to the graveyard).
Another unique aspect of Skyweaver is their built-in NFT marketplace. The 'basic cards', earned by leveling up through any type of played matches, are not NFTs, but their Silver/Gold variants are, and are also able to be earned through play. The silver and gold variant cards can also be bought in the games in-house marketplace; which includes an instant sale feature allowing players to sell earned or unnneeded cards immediately to the game's market for a set price (X% of current market value).
While I could continue to explain all the reasons that Skyweaver is a breath of fresh air when compared to most trading card games (and most NFT games for that matter!), I'll instead recommend that you go explore the game, since it is officially in open beta. No wallet or RPC configuration necessary; you'll be prompted to create a Sequence wallet upon account creation.
