Hello everyone!
Welcome to another edition on the on going guitar tutorial class, i hope to see you doing more progress as you follow the series up to the very end. It will be my pleasure of helping you with the basis you need to know
Today we will continue from where we stopped in tutorial class #10, we start from the final part of the solo technique and then we move into the rhythm technique.
Learn all the octave pattern
What i mean by this is knowing all voices, you can start by knowing all the E on every fret, by knowing this you can easily play a solo at any fret at any time the solo comes in.
Learn solo on every key
As a soloist you should be able to play solo on every single key on the guitar fret board, technically you should be good at all the keys and be able to solo on all these keys. The thing is all key follow the same line of approach they have, only the open strings are quiet different from them.
Do call and response
The call and response simply means you as the guitarist plays to what the musician is saying. This can be of two types which are you playing what the singer just said or the singer makes the call and you makes the response.
Listen to fellow instrumentalist
Listening to instructions is very vital in music, when you listen to your fellow band mates you have better chances of making good music together. This is a non practical technique, it is a mental one, has has more to do with your emotions. That is why it has to be treated carefully.

Moving to the rhythm technique, let us make sure we understand every single part of the phase because it is very important we do.
What is Rhythm
According to Wikipedia rhythm is the combination of two functions to get desired result. Coming to the guitar level i say it is the combination of two or more chords playing them simultenously and on the same pace and speed.

Playing rhythm
Playing rhythm is just simply playing of chords in an orderly way without any alteration. Most guitarist do say rhythmic guitar is boring and that it is too chordy. Most guitarist talk more on lead guitar than the rhythm aspect. The truth is that the rhythm has a vital role to play in music, because a solo cant do it all, this is where the rhythm comes in.
importance of rhythm
- The rhythm gives steady pace to music
- They give correct progression to songs
- They are consistent no matter the level of which the tempo goes.
