This is good news for people who search for places via Google maps. Google is now refreshing Maps by adding videos to places around you. Videos will be significantly more immersive, not just giving non-visitors a tour look through of places they have yet to visit but also for businesses to showcase what they have to offer.
Before you could just only add a photos by selecting a place in maps but instead users can now also add videos by holding the shutter key for up to 10 seconds. Apart from this users will also have the ability to follow along a 30-second video they've recorded beforehand of the place.
The feature is already rolling to Google Maps which is right now accessible just on Maps for Android, however it should come to other platforms as soon as possible.
