Golden Hour over the snow-capped Lascar Volcano
The Atacama Desert is very colourful, but the worst thing you can do is shoot during the day (in-between golden hours) when the sun is high in the sky and too harsh / overexposed for photography. There are definitely ways you can combat this midday light (with different filters e.g neutral density filters, or even polarizing filters), but the easiest way is to shoot in better light. These two shots show how much better a photo can be during golden hour.
