Description from Strava: Just the short run home tonight. It is still very warm out there at almost 28C, so I for go the usual long run I would typically do on a Thursday.
Besides, I have another reason for a shorter run home. I'm heading out tonight for a show in Lincoln: Monty Pythons' Spamalot. I'm getting picked up by Dad at 6:30, so need some time to shower and change before we head out. The original show was first performed in London a few years ago, and now one of the local drama groups is putting it on. I'm not really a theatre person (prefer to go see live music instead), but I do enjoy the various Monty Python films and sketches, so I'm sure it will be a good laugh
Will also be a good time to spend some time with my Dad
Tomorrow, the forecast is for even hotter temperatures, so my run home will likely be slower still. The weather is meant to break over the weekend, and will return to a more manageable 20-22C, but there are still gonna be some hot and sticky nights.
I'm also gonna be heading out for a walk in the Peak district on Sunday, so I'm hoping the weather turns, it won't be much fun walking the hills in over 30C!
