RE: My Actifit Report Card: March 13 2022
I'm not sure, it might be a coincidence.

RE: My Actifit Report Card: March 11 2022
Google maps says that the morning route I usually take is 4.7 miles each way, so 9.4 miles round trip, and that usually gives me about 20k steps, so that seems to track with your numbers. It's a long walk!

RE: Let's Play Super Auto Pets - 159
The link is at the bottom of the original post. Do you maybe not have access to the Steam store? There's also an in-browser version here:

RE: STREAK BROKEN - My Actifitivity: March 9 2022
I'm sorry your grandma and you had such a rough time. My grandmother had Alzheimers, I only interacted with her a little bit as she was declining but I found even that difficult, and your situation must

RE: Triggered By A Long Rain
I like the repetition/variation of the "triggered by a ____ rain" structure, it connects the various parts but in a loose, flowing way that also lets each part do its own thing.

RE: Nostalgia
I liked the way that "It all brings me back/ to the loneliness that sparked / so many dreams" captures the complex mix of feelings involved with nostalgia. The "it plays like a movie. /

Actually the photo is of the Willamette River which is the river that runs through the city, although since I mentioned the Delta Ponds and posted a picture of a body of water I can see how the post could

Yes, that link is for the Steam store version, so you'd need to have an account there to download it via Steam. I know there's also a mobile version for Android (with iOS coming soon), but I use iOS so

RE: The bringer of gifts
I like the vivid imagery and the way the things the various characters lack counterpoint and highlight aspects of the situation. The haunting and portentous tone seems well realized.

RE: Death
I like how the poem shifts from moments that are made to seem fleeting and meaningless in the face of implacable death to a desire to make the moments matter, the shift in perspective makes for an interesting

RE: My Actifit Report Card: December 20 2021
It's funny you say that, because Christmas sweaters were indeed part of the plan at one point (although sized for amigurumi figures that could fit in the palm of your hand rather than full human sized).

It's a set of amigurumi crochet figures. The red yarn will hopefully be some Christmas-y decorative elements.

RE: Simulacrum: The Garden of Consumption
I liked the way the rhymes contributed to the flow of the piece. I thought these lines: Waiting, scrolling, waiting for the next thing to try, the next thing that reminds us we are still alive. included

RE: Watching a child grow
I thought this part was particularly interesting: Ambivalence. Look it up. It's how I feel So proud of my baby So scared for her future What if all of her hopes and her wishes come true? And what if they

RE: The mystery of water (An original poem)
Like @pregosauce mentioned, I thought the idea of water as a silent witness was interesting. I also thought the variability of the form, like the number and length of lines, was a good thematic tie to

RE: Bricks
I like the rhymes, imagery, and a lot of the word choices, and I like how it builds to give the final line a lot of punch. I was a little bit thrown by the rhythm of the "To a furnace..." and

RE: A Moment... of Liberation
I think there are some interesting language choices and near-rhymes here, but I found it hard to find a rhythm that made sense to me so overall I found it a little hard to engage with. I may be reacting
