I took my morning walk along the riverbank path to the picnic tables near Skinner Butte Park today. The weather forecast said there was a chance there would be some snow in the air which would have been nice on Christmas, but we only seemed to get rain.
It’s a bit of a cliche that holidays can be emotionally difficult for some people, but some heavy emotions landed on me this morning. The pandemic-lockdown-related loneliness as well as sadness about other aspects of my life were weighing on me today.
