How do you feel after writing a qualitative post or an article and find no one to engage on it? How do you feel seeing some authors post having good upvote without yours having an appreciable upvote? How do you feel to see your post being bypassed more often on curation? Definitely you'll feel bad.
Authors most times are at the receiving end of these situations. Kindly follow me as I'll be shedding more light based on my personal observations over the month on the hive blockchain. I will be addressing the following issues on simple terms;
Earning reward on your posts is not a one day affair. Though you may find introductory posts of some newbies being given appreciable upvote on onboarding which is mostly done by @ocd team who are making sure that newbies gets rewarded through their introductory post, but after then what happens next? You may witness a point where you can make disparities between the moment you had your first introductory post and your other posts. As it stands, the blockchain seems more like a contest for the survival of the fittest. Not all newbies survives the hive ecosystem. Some may get minimal support at one point or the other while some may not get the expected support as desired and few others may get muted due to their bridge of the code of conducts on the charge of cross posting a non-applicable content or post plagiarism. Due to some of these challenges, this may result to most of the newbies leaving the blockchain while their accounts becomes inactive. So many challenges sets in at the beginning, but situations may get better with time provided you apply the needful touches you need to promote your interest in the financial ecosystem.
There are several factors that results in low rewards on post which may be due to the following issues;
- Inappropriate use of hash #tags on posts
- Auto-voting curation account not able to reach wide range of users account.
- Low quality of post contents
- Few number of Curators with substantial #hivepower, #pob power or others.
- Posting in a wrong community
- Account being muted or blacklisted
(I will be elaborating of each otf the points above on my next post)
Life is about give and take. It's really not ideal to get onboarded and keep posting your contents without having to engage in reading, upvoting and commenting on some other authors content. When you're used to not commenting on people's post, definitely you may never find anyone to comment on your posts too. What is the essence of writing and publishing a post without readers having to engage on it? It makes no sense. So learn to engage more on the post of others before making yours.
When i newly got onboarded on hive, i never knew the meaning of the term plagiarism until i googled it. Plagiarism is an act of impersonating someone's work or idea by taking it as your own. That's the more reason the #proofofbrain is there to make us utilize certain ideas that come from our thought to recreate a qualitative content. The more original your work is, the more possibility of a desirable upvote it'll get. Here is the link to a plagiarism checker shared by @vempromundo which will be very helpful to many of us here.
I hope you find these few tips helpful one way or the other. Kindly follow my blog @daniky for more update to this post. Don't forget to engage and reblog for the view of others within your connection. Thank you
