Da terre della malora a patrimonio dell'umanità UNESCO . In una manciata d anni mica in secoli stiamo parlando di quell'angolo Benedetto di Piemonte del Sud chiamato "Langhe". Luogo di Colline pettinate, ordinate, ondulate, cariche di vigne che danno vini tra i più buoni e famosi del mondo che hanno nome Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Barbaresco, Barolo ,colline che formano una sorta di piccola regione, tra due province Cuneo e Asti e tra tre fiumi Belbo, Tanaro e Bormida. Divisa in tre parti la bassa Langa di Alba "la capitale" con alture fino a 600 metri, vini e tartufi, al confine con la Liguria, colline di boschi con altezze fino a 800 metri la Langa astigiana a sud del capoluogo tra cannelli e il fiume Bormida. Secondo alcuni il nome Langa viene dal latino linguae, perché il terreno è fatto a lingue acreste collinari per altri arriva invece dal antico popolo Ligure che risiedeva nella zona:i Langenses.
quella che è certa è la straordinaria fertilità della terra ,formatasi per orogenesi in età terziaria con conglomerati di arenaria, marmo e gesso. arrivarci oggi vuol dire immergersi in un panorama di Colline coperte di Vigneti, boschi di bellezza assoluta, punti panoramici chiamati "Belvedere" ed è davvero un bel vedere soprattutto in autunno quando le sfumature di verde, giallo, arancione, Marrone dipingono una tavolozza unica è impagabile. quasi in cima ogni collina c'è un castello incantevole in memoria di un passato di signori e signorotti.
