As you might have heard earlier in 2017 Russia announced plans to launch the cryptoruble. Vladimir Putin first became interested in blockchain technology in mid 2017 after meeting with founder of ethereum Vitalik Buterin. Russia wants to become one of the leaders in the global IT industry and president Putin is ready to give full support for the development of Blockchain technology.
