Last night we got some new snow! It’s when snow has just fallen that it looks the best in my opinion, untouched by the elements. I thought it would be nice to capture this using black and white photography to really let the snow stand out. This is my submission for todays #monomad challenge.
The snow fell when it was really cold so it’s crystallized and almost looks like the texture of the plants during summer. I can also see some spiderwebs on the plants that has now become frozen strings.
Here is a close up of a pine. The snow doesn’t seem to get the same kind of grip on this plant.
This is also a pine. It’s actually my hedge. The plant is called Thuja. Quite common in Sweden as it stays green all year around.
This last show is of some kind of tall grass that has not yet yielded to the snow. Nature is smart; what does not bend, breaks. All plants know how to coexist with the elements.
